Founded by Issa Rashidi, the son of a respected Tanzanian mountain and safari guide, Tanjaro Adventures was built on a family legacy of sharing the beauty, culture, and spirit of Tanzania with travelers from around the world.
From the towering slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro to the vast plains of Serengeti National Park and the white-sand beaches of Zanzibar, that legacy was built through years of real guiding experience and meaningful connections with nature and people.
Growing up in this environment, I began my journey as a porter, learning the foundations of hard work, respect, and responsibility. Step by step, I became a guide, and later developed a vision: to create a company that offers authentic, well-organized, and truly local travel experiences.
That vision became Tanjaro Adventures, a locally owned and operated company specializing in mountain trekking, wildlife safaris, cultural experiences, and beach holidays across Tanzania.
